This is where I live and where I have created My Patch from Scratch! Home is a l970's Airstream Tradewind which we have had for three years. Originally we bought it to travel in and we have had several great trips in it. For the first summer we were here it was in the big field looking out over the valley...gorgeous!
As the winter approached we moved it onto hard standing, sheltered by the barns which we are going to convert. We had already restored the caravan, decorating the inside and re-upholstering, making curtains and putting down a wooden floor. Now we have plumbed it all in, run electricity and fresh water to it and got some really good heating going...just in time before the freezing weather last winter. Little did we know when we bought it that it would become our home down here on the farm while we convert one of the barns into a film studio and flat. The Airstream is bedroom and kitchen and we have a converted portakabin adjacent to it which is a living room/ studio/ office. Last summer we built a deck in between the two and share a huge wooden shed where all our 'stuff' is stored nice and dry in another barn.
I have never loved a home more! We live partly inside and partly outside surrounded by peaceful farmland, wildlife and fantastic views. A perfect environment to fulfil a dream I have always had to learn to grow all our own vegetables and live off the land.
